Intel & Televisa

Hola!! Today Andrew and I are in Mexico City meeting with Intel and Spanish media mogul, Televisa. We recorded today's Rocketboom ep as well as tomorrow's early so we could come down. This is my first time in this city, and I must say it really is so much fun. I had heard some horror stories about it before coming... but the city is really beautiful and the people are lovely.

Televisa is so forward thinking... it's amazing... they really "get it". Together with Intel they are launching a videoblogging contest for the entire Spanish-speaking world in order to encourage more people to vlog! Yay!! That's one of the reasons we came down, to help promote this fab contest. The winner receives a top of the line laptop, video camera, and web hosting for an entire year. There are also 2nd and 3rd place prizes. I will post a link to more info about the contest when one becomes available.

Darn. I was gonna say that. ;)

Enjoy Mexico City, and beware Montezuma's Revenge, for it is swift.

Have fun, Amanda, although you are probably back by now. Mexico D.F. is the world's largest city in terms of population. I hear it's exciting but also a real eye-opener as well, to see both extremes of the economic scale.

    Feliz Navidad.

Don't know if this counts, but Torso by Brian Michael Bendis is an excellent true crime story. I guess it's technically historical fiction, but it's all about Eliot Ness and America's first serial killer. It also happens to be a comic book.

    Hey Amanda,

I enjoy your rocketboom videop blog immensely. Regarding, non-fiction crime books, I have a suggestion. Try "The great train robbery" by Micheal Crichton.

Today was my first time to experience RocketBoom. Very creative. We are trying to implement the same type of Video Blog in my 7th grade multimedia class that I teach. Any tips for my kids?
